UNIFI Pro Becomes Content Catalog

FAQs

Formerly UNIFI Pro, Content Catalog is a web-based content management system that allows customers to organize, find and grant access to approved digital assets for BIM models, which increases the efficiency and productivity of BIM project teams. Through in-product integration with authoring tools such as Revit, AutoCAD and other 3rd party offerings, customers are empowered to easily find and insert approved assets into their BIM models.

Your Content Catalog data can be hosted on US, EU, or ANZ data centers.

BIM content management has been a highly requested item on Autodesk’s Revit roadmap. Content Catalog addresses this need and advances our commitment to giving you access to data at a granular level, outside of the design authoring environment. Content Catalog is being integrated into Docs to expand its capabilities as Autodesk’s AEC data repository.

At launch, Content Catalog will integrate with Revit, Rhino, Civil3D, and CAD. Content Catalog is also file-format agnostic  it supports the storage of most file types, including PDFs.

Anyone who has a subscription that includes Autodesk Docs will be able to access Content Catalog in a future release; no firm date for this future release has been set at this time.

Upon launch, Autodesk Admin users will be able to activate and set up Content Catalog for their account via the ACC Admin Portal. End Users will be able to access Content Catalog as a new offering listed under “All Products and Services” on their Autodesk Account page, or directly at contentcatalog.autodesk.com. Content Catalog will be administered through ACC Account Admin and available for use on all design models (including those hosted on BIM 360 and ACC).

Content Catalog’s functionality will be available for all Autodesk Docs users at no additional cost.

At this time, there is no set date for UNIFI Pro v3 to be retired.  As soon as we determine when v3 will be retired, we will share this information with all UNIFI Pro v3 customers.

UNIFI’s Project Analytics will not be included in Content Catalog. We are diligently working to incorporate Analytics in the Autodesk Product Portfolio and will  provide Project Analytics customers with more information as soon as we can. The current plan is that Project Analytics will be launched separately at a future date and with a separate licensing framework.

Please reach out to your Autodesk account manager or support@unifilabs.com for additional questions about Content Catalog.

No. Favorites, content ratings, personal saved searches, content requests, Revit legend support, Revit Material and Fill Pattern support, the preview image generator, the ability to create new shared libraries, manufacturer-provided content (channels), shared parameter management, our APIs and Project Analytics will not be included in the initial Content Catalog launch.

To introduce Content Catalog in a timely manner, our team is focused on core content management workflows and the quality of these workflows at scale. We’ll use inputs from new and existing customers after launch to help drive consideration of these previously available features, as well as other novel functionalities, now made possible through Content Catalog’s deeper integration with Autodesk.

An additional seat of DOCS will need to be purchased to accommodate the new user’s access to the Content Catalog.
