It is recommended that you upload your entire existing content library to UNIFI during your trial period. The quickest and easiest method to upload your content is to drag and drop the root folder of your existing library to the UNIFI upload screen. By dragging and dropping a folder into UNIFI, all of the names of the folders and subfolders will automatically be added to the uploaded content as meta tags, instantly increasing the accuracy of the UNIFI search engine. Uploading all of your existing content will provide you and your team with the best user experience, as you will be able to experience searching through the entirety of your existing BIM content.
Setting up a single library within the UNIFI platform will suffice (e.g. “Company Library” as a simple name to get started). If you would like to reorganize your content and establish additional libraries once your trial is complete, you can simply delete that initial library and its contents, and start over again
In order to gain a full trial experience, we also recommend that you upload several system families and drafting views (details) from your company templates or container project files, so that your team can experience interacting with those element types in UNIFI. You can upload these various Revit element types from directly within Revit. With a project open, go to the Add-ins > UNIFI Toolbar > Batch Export button to begin the export option.
